Corps members of the 2023 Batch B Stream I Service Year have successfully completed their one-year national assignment in Zamfara State.
Speaking, on Thursday, at a low-key ceremony held at the Federal Secretariat Gusau to mark their formal exit from the NYSC, the NYSC state coordinator, Alhaji Abdulsalam Alhassan praised the corps members for their patriotism, commitment and selflessness.
He particularly commended them for their notable contributions in the education and health sectors of the state, assuring that the scheme will continue to prioritize the welfare and security of corps members to enable them carry out their legitimate duties.
On life after service, the state coordinator counselled the young graduates to imbibe the virtue of humility and respect for constituted authority.
He described humility as an invaluable asset which can propel anyone to the top of their career.
Alhaji Alhassan urged them to utilise all the skills and knowledge acquired during the NYSC Skills Acquisition and entrepreneurship Development programme to engage themselves meaningfully while waiting for white collar jobs.
The Coordinator further warned the corps members against embarking on night journeys, advising those who wish to stay back in the state to carry out their chosen endeavour to feel free to do so.
Highlight of the programme was the distribution of Certificates of National Service to deserving corps members.
The distribution of certificates was also held in other LGAs of the state.
