The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command, Commandant Sani Mustapha has affirmed commitment to synergize with the National Human Rights Commission in ensuring human rights perpetrators are brought to justice and Gender Based Violence is put to an end in the State.
ASCII Umar, Mohammad M. CDPRO, Zamfara State Command, stated this in a statement made available to Hotpen Friday.
He said the commandant stated this while hosting the State Coordinator of National Human Rights Commission Mr. Abdullahi Abubakar and his staff at the State Headquarters in Gusau Thursday.
Sani Mustapha maintained that the relationship between Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) was conjoined from inception while noting that the Corps safeguards lives and properties of the civil populace.
In the same vain, the Commission advocates for human rights which forge a three-way recursive handshake between the National Human Rights Commission- Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps- Civil Populace.
The State Coordinator Mr. Abdullahi Abubakar applauded the Corps for sheer professionalism and contribution towards Human Rights Activities in the State and proffer a formal cooperation in future endeavors aimed to curtail human rights violations and Gender Based Violence to its minimal in the State. He further advocated for a system that will foster orderliness and compliance from primary stakeholders to make the State favorable for its residence.
Meanwhile , the State NSCDC Commandant endorse the need for collaboration between the two (2) Agencies and asserts together we shall create a serene and conducive atmosphere for all in Zamfara State.
