Misau Model School has taken the top spot in the 9th edition of the State-level National Quiz Competition on Legislature and Democracy for Senior Secondary Schools.
The event, organized by the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), saw participants from five schools compete at the State Assembly.
Misau Model School defeated Sunshine International School Bauchi in the final round, while Sabuwar Tiffi School Ningi secured third place.
Dignitaries, including Dr. Nasiru Ala, Chairman House Committee on Education, and Dr. (Mrs.) Jamila Dahiru, State Commissioner of Education, praised the schools’ outstanding performance.
They encouraged the students to become visionary leaders and thanked NILDS for organizing the competition.
Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, NILDS Director General, highlighted the quiz’s importance in promoting youth participation in civic and governance spaces.
The State government, under Gov. Bala Mohammed’s leadership, has pledged to continue partnering with NILDS to uplift education standards in the state.
