Kano State Governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has announced Alhaji Aliyu Ibrahim as the Emir of Gaya.
Briefing newsmen at the wee hours of Sunday at Government House Kano, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, the secretary to the state government said the appointment was in line with the conferred on the governor by the Kano emirate law 2020 as amended.
Usman Alhaji explained that the kingmaker had submitted three names out of which Aliyu Ibrahim was chosen.
Aliyu Ibrahim until his appointment was Chiroman Gaya .
He succeeded his late father, Ibrahim Abdulkadir who died last Wednesday after a brief illness at 91.
Hotpen reports that, Gaya emirate is of the 4 emirate Council created by Ganduje in 2019.
