Bogoro fracas: Sayawa Stakeholders Sue for Peace, Unity

HOTPEN – The elders of Sayawa Community in Bogoro Local Government Area Council under the auspices of Zauren Peter Baba Gonto have sue for peace on the recent violence in Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro local government area councils, Bauchi state.
According to the elders also condemned in strong terms ugly and unfortunate violence attacks on both their Royal Highnesses, the Emirs of Bauchi and Dass by thugs, arsonists and anarchist that abruptly during the Peter Baba Baba Gonto 21st memorial on 31st December, 202″,.
The elders made their position during a press conference with journalists at NUJ secteriat, Thursday in Bauchi, noted that only peace can bring about development in any society, hence the need for the Zaar people to shed their sword for peace to reign.
Mr. Bala Madaki, the spokesman of the group, said the elders have resolved to sue for peace among all Zaar communities inrespective of political affiliations, ideology, faith, clan or social status of the community.
According to him said “This ugly avoidable debacle started from Tafawa Balewa from 29th through the 31st December 2021, and spread to other communities including Bar, Bogoro and Mwari the town of the legendary Baba Peter Gonto of blessed memories”,.
“We also urged all Zaar sons and daughters to remain law abiding citizens, and embrace peace with one another for the development and progress of our land” the elders said.
“We therefore, called on all and sundry of Sayawa citizens to shun and extract any forms of posting inciting, provocative and inflammatory statements that will lead to stirring of disaffection, and cause dis-unity in the communities, especially on social media”
While calling on the security agencies to go after and apprehend the perpetrators of these barbaric acts to face the full wrath of the law, they however, appealed to the government to compensate those who suffer losses during the incident.
Its could be recall that people lives were lost and properties worthed millions of naira were also destroyed during the violence.
