ABU Student Rescued Nearly 2 Years After Being Abducted by Boko Haram

HOTPEN – Becky Inuwa, a student of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria who was abducted on Maiduguri road since October 2020, has regained her freedom yesterday.
HOTPEN reports that her classmate, Godwin Tanko, via Twitter announced that Becky was kidnapped along Maiduguri road in October 2020.
Announcing her release today via the microblogging platform, Godwin noted that Becky was rescued from Boko Haram captivity by the Nigerian army.
He excitedly wrote; “Today I’m celebrating life, I have shed tears of joy for this news, this is my coursemate in ABU, Becky Inuwa who was abducted by Boko Haram terrorists for over two years but has been rescued by our great Nigerian Army.”
“I and other well-meaning Nigerians are grateful to our gallant military men and women who put their lives for our security in this country, thank you, guys, @HQNigerianArmy”
