The National Union of Zamfara state students NUZAMS has promised to ensure wellbeing of the state indigene students who were staying at various tertiary institutions in the country.
This was made known by the newly elected president of the union, Comrade Samaila S. Pola at a press conference held at Nigeria Union of journalists NUJ, press center in Gusau the Zamfara state capital Sunday.
According to him, the union will work hand in hand with all relevant authorities to ensure Zamfara indigenous students well fair particularly in the area of their scholarship and other allowances to enable them study comfortably in the tertiary institutions.
He advocated the needs for unity among members of the union to meet their lots, stressing that no any organization can be develop without unity among it’s members.
Comrade Samaila stated that, the union will map out new blueprint that could help the state government in its efforts to fight against insecurity for peace to thrive in the state.
“We are are going to work closely with the state government to enable the government contain the lingering insecurity challenge facing the state and ensure betterment of all members of the union for the development of learning processes “. He said
Comrade Samaila called on members of the union to shun any forms of political activities that could cause unrest during electioneering campaign elections and beyond and concentrate on their study for them to attain their desired goals.
” All members of our union are neutral in politics and we are going to maintain our status quo, I am enjoining our union members not to in any political instability during electioneering campaign , elections and beyond and be law abiding citizens for the successful conduct of campaign and election in the state “. He further hinted.
He appealed to Zamfara state government under the leadership of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle to ensure prompt securing of scholarship allowances to students who are studying into various tertiary institutions in the country to facilitate their studies.
” I want to use this medium to appeal to Zamfara state government to look inward by assisting the whole students who are studying into various tertiary institutions of learning in the country with scholarship allowances for them to overcome their predicament during their stay in school and to enable them attain their predetermined objectives “. Said Samaila.
