The Jigawa state and local governments contributory pension scheme board has settled whooping sum of N9,547,247,594.48 to 13,237 pensioners from January to December 2022.
The executive secretary of the board, Alhaji Alhaji Kamilu Musa stated this while briefing news men in Dutse, said the amount involved retirement benefit, death benefit, death pension balance and refund of 8% contribution at both state, local government councils and local education authority in the state.
Kamilu explained that about 6,027 beneficiaries emerged from state level, 2,698 beneficiaries from local government council while 4,512 beneficiaries from local education authority (LEA).
The Executive Secretary further stated that the disbursement of N1,764,637,309.48 to 707 beneficiaries as the terminal benefit for the month of February 2023, he salute the support and cooperation given to them by Governor Badaru in the discharge of their duties hitch free.
