Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has on Saturday presented a staff of office the new Emir of Dutse Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi.
The colourful occasion held at Aminu Kano Triangle, Dutse Jigawa gathered hundred thousands of family, friends, associates and well wishers across walks of life.
Hotpen reports, the new emir, Hammem Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi succeeded his late father, Nuhu Muhammad Sanusi who died on the 31 January, 2023 after a brief illness.
During the occasion, Governor Badaru explained that, the throne is the inheritance of his father’s legacy “we advised you to emulate and continue with the good legacies initiated by your late father as well as his examplary leadership”.
Badaru who described the late emir of Dutse Alhaji Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi as generous and religious leader worthy of emulation who dedicated his life to service to humanity, he pray for Allah to grant him the best Jannatul paradise.
The governor acknowledged and appreciated the presence of the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Vice President-elect Alhaji Kashim Shettima, the former governor of Jigawa state Dr. Sule Lamido, Plateau state governor Simon Bako Lalong, the Emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, the emirs of, Ringim, Hadejia, Gumel, Kazaure and the emirs of Zazzau, Kaltungo, Zuru, Bauchi, among others.
Delivering his speech, the decorated emir of Dutse, Alhaji Hameem Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi appreciated and called for people to pray for him to discharge his responsibilities faithfully with fear of Almighty God.
He promised to do justice and continue with his father’s legacies, “I will continue with the legacy my father left and I will try my best to see that all the good things my late father initiated will be sustained and even introduce more”.
Hammem stated further that he will visit all the district areas of his jurisdiction to distribute the alms to the needy people. ”I will go ahead with the distribution of alms collected by my late father then proceed to my task through alms collector (Sa’i).
The emir then thanks and appreciate the presence of all the important dignitaries and well wishers that attended and pray for him.
