Dr. Babangida Hussaini (Walin Kazaure) was among the new elected Senators presented with a certificate of return today Tuesday 7th March, 2023.
The occasion held at the International Conference Center ICC Abuja where INEC is compiling the 2023 election results.
Walin Kazaure was elected as Senator representing Jigawa North West under the ruling APC defeating his boss former Jigawa state governor, Ibrahim Saminu Turaki with 187,049 votes against 134,199.
Hotpen reports that, Babangida Hussaini, a retired federal permanent secretary will be among the members of the 10th National Assembly as Distinguished Senator representing Jigawa North West Senatorial District.
Hussaini’s philanthropist gesture, political antecedents couple with his giant strides in bring infrastructural development during his tenure as Director Special Projects and Permanent Secretary with the federal ministry of works and housing across Jigawa state and beyond has attributed to his victory in the Senatorial contest.
