The Special Adviser to the President on infrastructures, Alhaji Ahmad Zakari has said that the 2023 elections process has been far better than the previous ones as a result of BVAS machines introduction.
Ahmad Zakari who is also the Santuraki of Kazaure made the commendation in Gwiwa town of Jigawa state while answering questions from the newsmen shortly after casting his vote, said despite a little delay at Dadin Sarkin ward, but things went well as voting process began at 9.am prompt.
According to him security worked very well to restore law and order which
allowed voters to cast their votes hitch free added that the introduction of BVAS machines by INEC has drastically reduces election malpractices and other irregularities in the country.
His words: “Elections Process of 2023 is far better than the previous ones of 2015 and 2019, as introduction of BVAS machines has helped a lot’.
He explained that reports they received from their agents across Jigawa
state indicated that transmission of results and uploading via e-mail went well, pointed out that where they discover problems by BVAS they capture faces or thumbs of the voters and allow people cast their votes.
When asked on whether the INEC should continue with the use of BVAS machines in the 2027 general elections, Ahmad Zakari stated that, it depends on the INEC decision because things
were dynamic in life.
