Determined to ensure
peace and security, Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has banned use of motorcycles and other forms of rallies to celebrate the winners of the state governorship election declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the governor on Media and Publicity, Habibu Nuhu Kila, said the governor called on the people in the state to pray for the winner in the election for successful administration and moving the state forward.
The statement added that governor Abubakar urged the people to remain calm and discipline and gives, Malam Umar Namadi all support, cooperation and assistance throughout his stay in office.
“His Excellency governor disclosed that God gives and takes away power,and as such everyone should be thankful and grateful to Allah and expressed appreciation to the people of the state for the peaceful and successful conduct of the polls across the state”.
Meanwhile the Jigawa state governor elect, Malam Umar Namadi has promised to continue with legacies of his predecessor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of prudence and good governance.
Malam Umar Namadi was speaking shortly after he was declared as the winner of the Jigawa state governorship election under the All Progressive Congress (APC) described his election as the will of God.
