The Jigawa state governor- elect, Mal. Umar Namadi Danmodi has pledged to accept and correct any mistake committed in the course of piloting the affairs of the state.
He further called on the people of the state to always correct him if he has done wrong in his administration.
Namadi stated this shortly after receiving his certificate of return at the INEC office Dutse, said he has all the responsibilities of doing good to the Jigawa people.
His words:- “I will make sure that all my responsibilities fulfilled during my stay in office in the next four years, and all my promises would be my priorities God grace”.
He also promised to carry everybody along, saying “Jigawa is one and no one will separate it, we are inviting everyone to come and work together for better Jigawa.
“I will not deceive Jigawa people, I will try by the grace of God to do the right thing within the period of my administration”. He vowed.
In his remarks, the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner Jigawa State, Professor Muhammad Lawan Bashir, remind the elected members and governor-elect to keep to their promises “all that you promised you will account for it in the hear after”.
Professor Bashir then wished them all the best and success in their stay in office.
Hotpen reports that, out of the 30 members of the state House of assembly, 27 received their certificates while three members of Dutse, Birnin kudu and ‘Yankwashi local government constituencies were yet to issued with their certificate due to inconclusive of some polling units of their LGAs of which supplementary elections will be conducted on the 25th of April, 2023.
