Nomadic Fulani communities in Bauchi State have been strongly advised to enhance the productive capacities of their younger ones under an ongoing Nomadic Vocation program initiated for them under the State Agency for Nomadic Education
HOTPEN in a chat with Secretary of the agency Musa I Ardo at closing of the third course at Aminu Saleh College of Education, Azare center, specifically urged nomadic Fulani communities in Northern part of Bauchi state to enroll their children in view of it’s importance in fine tuning the future of their children.
The Secretary of the Agency noted with appreciation, improvement in turn out of trainees at the Center this year, but however pointed out that it was still lagging behind in rate of enrollment compared to the other two centers in the state.
He therefore reiterated his call on nomadic Fulani parents to consider the vocational training with more zealousness, pointing out that those who are lucky to participate in the training will be more prepared to face the socio economic challenges of future life.
Musa Ardo appealed to Bauchi State Government to continue to invest in the program for it’s sustenance as it is currently operating under difficult financial conditions.
HOTPEN learnt from coordinator of Bauchi North Centre, Bala Sambo , that from its inception, the program has imparted intellectual skills to participants who were hitherto unable to read and write in Hausa, Arabic and English languages.
