The country director ActionAid Nigeria Mrs Ene Obi has identify the need for upholding the virtues of interfaith dialogues for peace to be encapsulated, adding that promoting the culture of violent extremism and radicalization at the expense of peace does not arise.
Mrs Ene Obi,who represented by the ActionAid Nigeria country Director programs Mrs Suwaiba Muhammad Dan Kabo during the launching of the Manual facilitators guide in Kano on Thursday at afficent events center.
Mrs Dan Kabo added that unveiling the books guide would assist the way for the concept of the interfaith dialogue to be fully comprehended in Kano state and Kaduna.
In his views the executive Director Dispute Resolution and Development Initiative formally knows as (DAG) Dr.Mustapha Muhammad Yahaya said the interfaith facilitators guide will play a vital role in addressing the challenge of violent extremism in kano and the entire Nation.
He maintain that the violent extremism is on the increase in different parts of the globe , hence measures needed to be taken in ensuring that the menece do not escalate in Kano state and other parts of the Nation.
He also call on relevant stakeholders and Ulamas with media’s to come in for dismantling information to those are in outreach.
In his remark the emir of Kano Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who represented by district head of Nasarawa Sarkin dawaki babba Alhaji Aminu Babba Dan’Agundi call on the incoming Adminstration of Ahmed Bola Tinubu to establish the ministry for religious affairs at the federal level with aim of ensuring interfaith dialogue.
Sarkin Dawaki Babba described Kano as a backbone of peace harmony and peaceful coexistence where followers of various religions have no axe to grind in the state.
In a launching the interfaith Manual book box Muslims and Christians leaders with member from NOA preach the advantage and important of living in peace in our society which is very good in any religious.
