The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Zamfara State Command, under the leadership of Commandant Sani Mustapha has assured the Standards Organization of Nigeria SON of a robust working relationship.
The commandant gave the assurance in a statement made available to Hotpen signed by the command’s public relations officer Ikor Oche SC, CDPRO.
According to the statement, the State Commandant made this known when he hosted the leadership of SON in the State Command Headquarters Gusau on the 23rd June 2023.
The security consummate, Commandant Sani Mustapha said that, the lives of Civil populace are of primary concern to the Corps and as such, the Corps is ready at all times to synergize with the regulatory agency SON to curb the society of substandard products which are inimical to the wellbeing of humanity.
According to him, the Corps is fully abreast with the operational activities of Standards Organization of Nigeria in ensuring a society that is free of fake products.
“To this end, the State Commandant, Sani Mustapha purported that NSCDC in Zamfara State Command will do all within the purview of the establishing Acts to support SON in all ramifications.”
In his remarks, the State Coordinator SON, Engr Idris Aliyu appraised the collaborative efforts of the Corps and SON hitherto. He said the essence of the visit was to familiarize himself with the Corps and to seek for more collaboration with the Corps in the fight against substandard products.
He therefore solicited for a mutual working relationship between the Corps and SON in order to flush out substandard products in the markets or at most halt the production of such products through enforcement.
