Unknown gunmen have attacked and killed seven peoples including a community leader in Kada Village of Kurmi ward, Ningi local government area of Bauchi State.
In an interview with member of the vigilante group in the area who witnessed the incidence, anonymously confirmed to this medium that the terrorists invaded the area on motorcycle Bajaj Boxer at about 9:00pm Tuesday were they attacked and killed the innocent people.
He explained that the bandits suspected to be kidnappers terrorising the areas came in large numbers with heavy guns in which the local security could not confront them.
According to him, they shot dead the ward head of Kada, Mai Anguwa Ali aged 50 along with five other people, added among those killed include Alh Ibrahim, Shu’aibu Adamu 45 years, Yunusa Adamu 50 years, Umaru Sabo 25 years and Ali Aldo.
Another member of the community noted that the gunmen burgled shops in the village and carted away with foodstuffs and two motorcycles, noted that the terrorists also killed one volunteer security and injured one Army in Gamji Village in a gun duel battle with soldiers.
In a separate attacked, the gunmen suspected to be kidnappers also stormed Yadagungume and kidnapped the wife, daughter and driver of Alh Lawan Maliya a popular businessman in Yadagungume area of Ningi local government area yesterday night at about 3:00am on Wednesday.
This is coming three days after the Bauchi State Police Command said it has rescued ten victims of kidnapping, neutralised two kidnappers and arrest another in Ningi local government.
Hotpen reports that, the issue of kidnapping in Bauchi State has become a daily affairs as of recent the kidnappers stormed Anguwar Madaki, Kwajale and Balele in Kurmi ward were they kidnaped two people and injured many.
Contacted the Public Relations Officer Bauchi State Police Command, SP Ahmed Muhammad Wakil, confirming the incidence said they received a distress call that some bandits have attacked Kada and Gamji villages under Burra of Ningi local government area Tuesday Night.
SP Ahmed Wakili noted that the hoodlums came in large number they attacked the two villages shooting sporadically as a result seven people were said to have died.
He stated further that the operatives of the command in conjunction with Nigerian military engaged the hoodlums as three of the bandit were being neutralized, the rest run with possible gunshot wound to the nearby bush.
The Command’s Spokesman stressed that the terrorists also injured one of their respective person.
