A renewed political analyst and stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has said that their party will remain the strongest political party in Kano despite been an opposition in the state.
Dan-Bilki in an interview with Daily Focus, said the party, having served for over nine years in the state have dominated all parts of the state and houses the strongest politicians, adding that they have no much work to do in reclaiming their seat in a sooner time.
He said anywhere in the world, the ruling party at National level has control over the policy and governance across all other states, adding the current ruling party in Kano, NNPP, “is nothing to write home about.”
He said the NNPP itself has eased their work for them in Kano, “They have already created problems for themselves which will remain there forever. We are very lucky, they are making our job easy.
“What they did in their first weeks has proven to Kano people that they are not going anywhere. They put thousands of people in hunger and joblessness. Many people lost their capital because of their demolition, apart from the thugs they recruited into stealing peoples’ belongings.
“They will never forget. Many families are in trouble now. Billions of naira were lost. This is just simple. We are not happy but it is a win for our party.”
Dan-Bilki Commander said as opposition, APC already has a lot to show to prove to Kano people that NNPP is not a party for Kano, adding that “Lets witness 2027 and see what will happen. With this demolition only, we can defeat them. If we are to conduct an election now, the APC will surely win in Kano.”
According to him, the APC is not just an opposition in Kano, but a party that is in the blood of Kano people. He said with Senator Barau Jibrin as Deputy Senate President, he believes the APC will remain strong and serve as the hottest opposition for the NNPP.
“Presently we have two strong leaders from Kano at National level. We have the Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau I. Jibrin and the National Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. These two people are enough for us. They can hold the party until the next dispensation.
“Barau Jibrin has been doing a lot in the country and will continue as such. With the likes of him, I believe NNPP is nothing in Kano. How can a one state party compete with the largest party of the whole Africa? APC is the largest party in Africa,” Dan-Bilki added.
He urged members of the party to remain calm and work towards the development of the party and the country at large.
