The group of armed bandits Wednesday night invaded Gidan Damo village of Bilbis district in Tsafe local government shot seven people out of which four dead on the spot.
Resident of the area who pleaded anonymity told our correspondent via telephone interview.
According to him, the bandits in their large number stormed the village riding motorcycles and began shooting sporadically on residents.
“As I am talking to you now, the bandits shot seven people in our community and out of them, four were confirmed dead on the spot”. He said
He opined that the villager were currently dispassed in the bush for their safety.
On whether the bandits abducted some of the people in the area during the attack, he narrated that they have not ascertain if they have kidnapped their people.
“We will wait until tomorrow to find out whether they have abducted some of our people because as I am talking to you now, I hides myself inside farm for safety”. He added
Hotpen gathered that, the resurgence of banditry in zamfara state have became a widespread for almost two months ago almost on daily basis.
However, efforts to get the state police command public relations officer Asp. Yazeed Abubakar by our correspondent proved abortive as at the time of compiling the report.
