Kano State Deputy Governor and APC gubernatorial candidate in the 2023 elections, Dr Nasir Yusuf Gawuna
Gawuna had paid whooping sum of N11.8million for the payment of registration fees of 100 BUK female students.
It was exclusively gathered that the former Deputy Governor requested Bayero University Kano to select and forward the names of 100 final year female students who were unable to pay for their registration.
His words:- “The university selected 100 final year female students and forward their names to the former Deputy Governor for approximate action as requested”.
In an acknowledgement letter sent by the university acknowledged the receipt of the cheque and expressed its appreciation to Gawuna for coming to the aid of the students.
A staff of the Bayero University told this medium that the former deputy governor forwarded two cheques in the sum of N600,0000, N5,827,000 respectively.
Hotpen reports that, Kano State Government has pledged to sponsor the registration of the indigines of the state but the government is yet to make payment at the time of filing this report.
