Governor Malam Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has approved the appointment of Zainab Shu’aibu Rabo Ringim as his Senior Special Assistant on Media Affairs along 115 other Assistants.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Mallam Bala Ibrahim issued to newsmen in Dutse.
Hotpen reports that, Hajia Zainab, an ace broadcaster who worked with Radio Jigawa, a Correspondent Of Radio Germany (Deutsche Welle), and former zonal vice chairman of the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ).
She became the first female to be appointed as media aide to the Jigawa state governor since the creation of the state in 1991.
According to the statement, the appointment of the appointees is based on merit, competence, and personal integrity.
The SSG therefore congratulated the newly appointees and urged them to be honest and just in discharging their responsibilities.
He also urged appointees to work hard towards the actualization of Governor Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda.
The statement explained that, all the appointments take with immediate effect.
