Residence of late Nigeria’s President, Alhaji Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari was gutted by fire.
The fire which started around 11.00am over the weekend lasted until around 5:00 PM before it was finally subdued by the team of Sokoto State fire service with assistance from federal fire service department.
Although no life was lost however, the house which is about 100years old has been reduced to ruins and cannot be salvaged.
