The Jigawa State Executive Council has approved the award of contract for the Installation of Solar Mini-Grid for Dutse General Hospital at the sum of N172,754,158.00 for effective service delivery.
Briefing newsmen shortly after the end of the meeting held at government house Dutse, commissioner of information, Hon. Sagir Musa Ahmed said, the Council decision is in line with Governor Umar Namadi administration’s commitment to improve the standards of General Hospital in the State for effective health service delivery.
He explained further that, the council during its deliberations has equally approved the award of contract for the establishment of Fumigation Chamber at Maigatari Export Processing Zone.
According to him, the chamber will help in the development of Hibiscus value chain in line with the present administration of Governor Umar Namadi’s effort to enhance Hibiscus production in the State to meet the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) requirements as well as to ensure that the product is optimally developed and made ready for export worldwide.
Hon. Sagir Musa stated further that, the Council in session has approved the distribution of 91no. of Tricycle Machines to unemployed youth as an empowerment loan at the cost of N250,000 only per unit and each beneficiary is expected to deposit the sum of N70,000.
