Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State redeemed his pledge and presented a cheque of N100 million to victims of GSM Market inferno in Damaturu the state capital.
When the Governor visited the scene of the incident on Tuesday, he gave first line cash stimulus of N3 million through the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Governor Buni announced a donation of N100 Million and as well directed SEMA to speed-up assessment and support in the repairs of the shops burnt by Fire.
Buni was represented for the presentation of the cheque of One Hundred Million Naira by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), with Chief of Staff (CoS), Head of Service (HoS) and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce accompanied by other top Government officials visited the scene and presented the cheque on behalf of Governor Mai Mala Buni in Damaturu.
The Governor prayed for God to replenish their losses and assured them of government commitment in coming to their plights by the Allah will.
