The Emir of Dutse Alhaji Muhammad Hameem Nuhu Sunusi has commended the founder of Sambo Hospital Limited Dr. Shehu Sambo for providing job opportunities to Jigawa citizens among other people from outside the state.
The Emir dropped the hints at the official commissioning of Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi maternity complex in Sambo Hospital Limited held at the Hospital’s premises.
The monarch explained that to their greatest surprise, as a private Hospital started with 2 rented rooms people especially women from across villages used to visit the private health centre for spital for medical treatment.
Dr. Hameem urged the proprietor of the private hospital to continue with the good job he has started, saying only God can reward him.
He said already the late Emir regarded Dr Sambo as a ‘Son’ for his loyalty and hard working “that is why I am not surprised if Dr Sambo named a section of this Hospital after my late father”.
In his speech the senior councilor of Dutse Emirate Galadiman Dutse, Alhaji Basiru Muhammad Sunusi thanks Dr. Sambo for his kind gesture of naming a maternity ward in the hospital after his late brother, Emir of Dutse Alhaji Dr. Nuhu Muhammad Sunusi.
Said he: “Apart from employment opportunities Sambo has brought something commendable and challenging to those that refused to come back home and invest for their people to benefit”.
In his welcome address, the Chief Executive Officer/Founder of Sambo Hospital Limited, Dr Shehu Sambo, said the hospital has over 100 staff both medical, nurses, administrative staff other health personnel and cleaners.
The Sambo Hospital Limited is a Licensed hospital by the Nigeria Ministry of Health, and registered as Secondary Health Care Centre.
Sambo explained that the medical services offered in the Hospital includes- Cardiology, Hematology, Surgical Services Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Anesthesia, Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), Radiology, Pediatrics Services, Special Clinical Services Antenatal Care (ANC), Immunization, Tuberculosis, Non Communicable Diseases, Family Planning, Communicable Diseases, Hepatitis, Accidents and Emergency, Nutrition, Health Education and Community Mobilization, Maternal and newborn care, and Scanning.
Others are Obstetrics & Gynecology Services Obstetrics, Gynecology, Fertility/Assisted Reproductive Techniques, Dental Services, Onsite Laboratory, Onsite Imaging, Onsite Pharmacy among others.
Sambo stated that the Sambo Hospital Limited is Licensed by the Nigerian Ministry of Health. It is registered as a Secondary Health Care Centre.
He said there are three-tier system of health care in Nigeria, depending on the facility infrastructure, personnel and the type of care they offer.
