The national president of the National union of Zamfara state students (NUZAMSS) who is also the northwest
Zonal coordinator of the Nigerian association of science students (NASS), Comrade Mubarak Musa Manager has disbursed the sum of N500,000 to 120 ABU students as a relief package.
This is contained in a statement made available to Hotpen in Gusau Friday signed by his spokesperson Abdulrazak Shuaibu also NAMS president ABU Zaria.
According to the statement, the aim of the gesture is to reduce their socioeconomic hardship while in campus for them to continue with their study with ease .
“It is not news that Nigerian students are currently experiencing a difficult period of their lives, especially those on campuses due to the high level of inflation in the country, that is why we find it necessary to assist the benefiting students in that direction “. The statement contended
The list of the selected students has been completed for the disbursement and more names to be submitted for them to benefit from the gesture”. The statement reads in part.
“This disbursement is the first of its kind ever made in the history of NASS Northwest Zone, and the Zonal Coordinator is determined to ensure more interventions that will assist the students at tertiary levels “.
The statement enjoined the beneficiaries to use the fund given to them wisely.
