A middle aged woman who supplied ammunition has been arrested on board Katsina state Transport Authority (KTSTA) from Abuja to Katsina with hundreds of ammunition to deliver to bandits.
In a video that went viral across social media platforms monitored by Hotpen, it was observed that the Katsina state owned transport service (KTSTA) with number F358 was stopped at a check point where they searched luggage of passengers and discovered a polythene full of ammunition belonging to one of the passengers.
In the process of investigation they realized that, one Aisha Abubakar who claimed to be from Nasarawa State was in possession of the ammunition.
It was gathered that, DSS was alerted on the development and stoped the vehicle at a checkpoint in Kaduna where they discovered the ammunition.
Aisha told security personnel that, somebody from Abuja gave her the ammunition to drop at near by a river in Yantumaki town in Katsina state.
She further explained that this is the first time she was involved in this act and attributed poverty force her to fall into the dangerous deal.
It was gathered that passengers inside the vehicle attempted to lynch the woman but with the intervention of security personnel the situation was brought under control.
However, the action of the security did not prevent the passengers from throwing abusive words to the woman saying “Allah Isa tsakanin mu da ke, kin samu a bala’i” meaning that ‘May God punish you for throwing us into pandemonium’.
Hotpen leant that devious element of passengers are using government owned transport authority to take the advantage of security personnel since its very rare to subjected the vehicles belongs to state governments to search.
It’s would be recall similar incidents occurred days to Eid Kabir where some youth boarded KTSTA Bus and caught red-handed by NDLEA operatives in possession of guns and ammunition to supply to bandit in Katsina.
