The Kebbi State House of Assembly has passed four bills into second reading and urged chairmen of the respective bills to scrutiny them and submit to the house for passing them into law.
The four bills were passed into the second reading at the sitting of the members on Tuesday, the bills according to the Speaker of the assembly, Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru includes; Local Government amendment Bill, Kebbi State transport Bill, Kebbi State Local Government Service Commission (Establishment) bill 2024 and Kebbi State Electricity bill 2024.
The speaker shortly after adjoining the sitting of the House decorated two police officers serving in the House, Bala Yakubu Kamba and Aminu Sanyinna, with their new ranks.
The officers were promoted from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASPs). The decoration ceremony took place at the Speaker’s office, where Rt. Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru who was assisted by his deputy Hon. Muhammad Sama’ila Bagudo congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotion.
He commended their dedication, hard work, and commitment to ensuring the security and safety of the House and its members.
The Speaker emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance, noting that the promotion of the officers is a testament to their exceptional service, encouraged them to continue demonstrating excellence in their duties, as their new ranks come with greater responsibilities.
