Sequel to the recent torrential rainfall in Kirikasamma and its outskirts resulted in the total dilapidation of buildings as well as confirmation of outbreak of disease in the area .
Unfortunately, there are reports of a disease outbreak called ‘Gastroenteritis’ in Kirikasamma local government area of Jigawa State.
The primary Healthcare coordinator of Kirikasamma local government area , Musa Abdullahi Diladige confirmed the incident in an interview with the Information Officer of the local Government Alhaji Musa Muhammad Hadejia.
Diladige says, the incident of the outbreak occurred at Malori, Maikintari, Dilmari, Kirikasamma and some part of Baturiya village.
He added that, the disease called ‘Gastroenteritis symptoms are ; Diarrhoea, cramps, Nausea, Vomiting and fever.
The Head of Department Water and Sanitation of Kirikasamma local government area, Muhammad Maisamari says, 7 persons recorded dead others were admitted at nearest hospitals.
Maisamari explained that a team of health personnel were sent to the areas to give necessary Medicare services to tackle the spread of the disease.
He added that the local Government council has purchased drugs and other related medicine for an urgent curative in the affected areas.
While responding to the disease outbreak , the Director Admin and General Services of Kirikasamma, Idris Gambo Abubakar has condoled the families of the deceased and pledged to give all the necessary assistance to tackle the spread of the disease.
