Zamfara state governor Dauda Lawal presented over N423 billion 2024 budget appropriation to the state assembly.
According to him, the sum of over N118 billion has been earmarked as recurrent expenditure while the total sum of over N305 billion has been set aside as capital expenditure respectively.
Governor Dauda Lawal stated that roads construction at rural areas, security, education, agriculture, healthcare delivery as well as completion of Gusau International cargo airport will be given priority in 2024 appropriation bill.
According to him, the lingering insecurity will soon be addressed.
He appealed to members of the state house of Assembly to ensure speedy passage of 2024 budget into law for ascent as it will touch the living standard of the people and development of the state.
Speaking, the speaker Zamfara state house of Assembly Hon. Bilyamu Moriki assured governor Dauda Lawal for effective scrutiny and passing the budget into law ahead of time.
