The Leadership of Tangale – East Progressives Union comprising communities of Kaltungo and Shongom LGAs based in Abuja have expressed their support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s transformative policies and programmes.
In a statement the Special Assistant to the minister on Media and Publicity, Umar Alkali said Senator Joshua Lidani who led the delegation of the communities to a courtsey call on the minister applauded President Bola Tinubu for appointing the minister from Gombe State, whom he described as younger brother and colleague in the 8th Senate and with track record of achievements.
Senator Lidani who is also the former Deputy Governor of Gombe State assured the Minister of their support to the government, adding that no meaningful development could be achieved when people are not united.
In his remarks, the spokesman of the delegation, Dr. Haruna Jarida Doji said they were at the Minister’s office to identify with him and also congratulate him for his well-deserved appointment as FEC member in the present administration.
He however prayed for the prosperity of the nation, despite the current economic and security challenges in some parts of the country.
Responding, the Minister expressed appreciation for the visit, assuring them of running an open door policy where constructive criticisms are welcome with a view to taking not only Gombe State but Nigeria forward in the scheme of things.
Senator Alkali described his colleague, Sen. Lidani as an elder statesman who will leave his indelible footprints on the sand of time, given his numerous contributions to the development of Gombe State, citing example to the establishment of the Federal Polytechnic Kaltungo.
