Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has slammed Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed’s criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s recent nationwide broadcast.
Recall that Governor Bala Mohammed had expressed disappointment over the lack of consultation with state governors before the president’s address.
“Described the speech as “empty” and criticized it for not reflecting the reality on the ground and lacking solutions to protesters’ major demands”. Sen. Buba added.
The Senator made the lamentation in an interview with newsmen in Bauchi, saying the Governor falsely accused President, without basis.
Senator Buba accused Governor Mohammed of igniting hardship in the state despite collecting a huge amount of funds from the Federal Government.
He claimed that the governor has failed to show tangible evidence of utilizing the funds for the benefit of the people.
The Senator took issue with Governor Mohammed’s description of President Tinubu’s speech as “empty” and lacking empathy for Nigerians. argued that the governor’s comments were unwarranted and misleading.
The exchange between Senator Buba and Governor Mohammed highlights the ongoing political tension in Bauchi State.
While the governor has raised concerns about the president’s address, the senator has countered with accusations of mismanagement and neglect of the state’s needs.
