The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, (NSCDC) Kano State Command has apprehended a job scammer in the state.
The suspect, according to SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, spokesman of the command, in a statement in Kano on Wednesday, specializes in defrauding people “of their hard earned money with phantom employment in Kano State government ministries.”
He said the suspect, identified as Mu’azu Mohammed Ibrahim, resident of Sagagi quarters, Kano Municipal LGA was arrested after weeks of intense trail of his whereabouts.
Abdullahi explained that the 32-year old suspect was apprehended following complaints lodged by individuals, mostly women, who had been duped by the suspect of money more than 1.2 million Naira.
“The suspect lured his victims with a pretence that he’s a key government official and can secure an offer of employment for them in government MDAs, a ghost promise which eventually turned out to be untrue.
“Investigation has been concluded and the suspect will be charged to court by the Corps legal Unit,” he said.
