DSS Interrogates Kano Governorship Aspirant, 2 Others over Political Thuggery

HOTPEN – The Department of State Service (DSS) on Tuesday evening in Kano interrogated a governorship aspirant, AbdulSalam Abdulkarim Zaura popularly called A.A, Zaura, the Managing Director of Kano Road Traffic Agency,(KAROTA), Baffa Baba Dan’agundi and Majority Leader, House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, over alleged political thuggery.
A competent security source said the arrest of the political leaders in Kano by the secret service was predicated on the violence recorded at political gathering in the state with the clash in Rano over the weekend and Bichi on Tuesday.
The source said the operatives of the Service interrogated those quizzed for hours before they were released late on Tuesday night.
The DSS was said to have discovered weapons in the vehicle of some of the arrested politicians during the arrest.
Hotpen reports reports that, Kano state has been witnessing political thuggery threatening the peaceful coexistence of the residents of recent with many politicians in the state trying to outshine each other in the use of thugs during political activities.
The action on Saturday led to the death of four persons at Rano township stadium in a clash among supporters of some politicians during inauguration of APC executives by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and the clash in Bichi on Tuesday.
Although the police authorities confirmed the death of one person at the political clash in Rano over the weekend.
