Bauchi Gov’t Engages 2,400 People in Health Care Scheme

HOTPEN – No Fewer than 2,400 people in Tafawa Balewa local government area of Bauchi state benefited from Health Care Contributory Scheme.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency Dr Mansour Mustafa Dada, who disclosed this during a Radio live broadcast programme at the FM station in Bununu. He said they were at the station to enlighten members of the public on the successes recorded so far by the Agency.
Dr. Mansour explained that the Agency is a Basic Health care provision Service in Collaboration with the Federal Government, and state and local governments which is saddled with the responsibility of purchasing services for the teeming population in the state.
The Executive Secretary further explained that the Agency is on a tour to critical stakeholders to discuss modalities towards improving utilization of the Basic Health care provision fund disbursed to the Primary Health care Centers and the state Health Contributory Scheme.
According to him, the Services are affordable with some stipend amount under two categories to include formal and informal sectors targeted towards vulnerable people in the society; Pregnant Women, Civil servants, farmers, and Drivers among others aimed at ensuring effective Service delivery.
In his contribution during the visit, the manager of the station Alhaji Bashir Abdullahi Wunti thanked them for the visit and promised to work for hand in hand with the Agency towards ensuring the success of the program.
