Thousands of All Progressive Congress APC supporters converged in Bungudu town the headquarters of Bungudu local government area of Zamfara state in support of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle’s bid for second term campaign rally Thursday .
The campaign train which headed by the former Zamfara state governor Abdulaziz Yari as chairman of governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle’s campaign council consisted former governors of the state Sen. Ahmed Sani Yariman Bakura, Alh. Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi and host of other APC political stalwarts.
Speaking during the rally, Alh. Abdulaziz Yari expressed hope for APC victory come 2023 in the state.
Yari tasked members and supporters of APC in the state to remain united and vote for APC from national to state level.
According to him, APC in Zamfara is one entity, stressing that if given Matawalle mandate, the party will bring back peaceful coexistence and socioeconomic development of the state.
Also speaking, Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle thanked all his supporters for the unflinching support given to him toward ensuring his victory come 2023.
Matawalle promised to address the lingering insecurity challenge as a result of the activities of armed bandits in the state, promised to work hand in hand with security agencies to contain the situation if given the mandate for second term bid.
Governor Bello Matawalle urged APC supporters to remain in one umbraller and shun any forms of causing unrest during electioneering campaign elections and beyond for peaceful campaign and election in the state.
