Over 1000 residents of Taura local Government in Jigawa state have benefited from free medical outreach and relief materials.
The National President of the Young Medical Professionals of Nigeria (YOMPON) Dr. Musa Abdurrahman Hassan stated this while speaking at the launching of the program held in Taura PHC.
He said the program was organized by (YOMPON) in collaboration with Jigawa North West APC senatorial candidate Baban gida Hussain(Walin Kazaure) to give back to society.
According to him, the medical outreach was aimed at reducing the sufferings of people in the area who are finding it difficult in accessing health care services especially those displaced by the flood.
Speaking the APC Senatorial candidate represented by Engineer Jazuli Taura said the medical outreach involved offering free medical screening, free medical consultation, public health education, counseling, free supply of drugs.
He therefore urged the people of the community to use the opportunity and comes out and access the free medical services.
Some of the beneficiaries commended the organizers of the program for considering the community.
They said the exercise had given the people of the area the opportunity to benefit from medical services, especially those who don’t have the means to afford the medical bills.
