The National Vice Chairman of the Social Democratic Party SDP, Senator Muhammad Alkali Gumel has
dumped the party and joined the ruling APC.
In a statement signed by the Special Adviser
Media and Public Relations to the Governor, Habibu Nuhu Kila, said the National Vice Chairman of the Social Democratic Party SDP and also Senatorial Candidate of the party Jigawa North West, Senator Mohammed Alkali, Sardaunan Gumel has dumped the party and aspirations to join All Progressive Congress.
Senator Alkali said his decision was informed by the quality of good leadership of the party and also good governance and prudence as well as the style of leadership of the Jigawa State Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar, promised that he will contribute towards the success of the APC in forth general election.
Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar who received Senator Alkali at Government House Dutse, expressed his gratitude and described the occasion as monumental political development the to the party and the state.
He assured him of inclusiveness in all the affairs of the APC as bonafide member.
