The Deputy Governor of Kano State who is also the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his wife Hajiya Hafsat Gawuna, have casted their votes at the premises of Hali Qur’anic School, unit 041in Gawuna Gidan-sha, Nassarawa Local Government Area of the state today.
The deputy governor and his wife arrived at the polling station at around 11:45am and cast their votes at about 12:01 at the ongoing presidential and national assembly elections being held across the country.
Briefing newsmen shortly after performing the civic duty, Dr. Gawuna expressed appreciations and satisfaction with the voting process at the unit, urging people to remained peaceful and disciplinary.
He added that: “I have nothing to say but to thank the Almighty Allah. I’m really impressed with the turnout of people I have seen now. I just cast my vote and so far everything is going in smoothly.”
“We have recorded a lot of success so far. You can observe that even from the security personnel, they are relaxed. People are going to exercise their rights everywhere in the state.”
He further solicited citizens in the state to be law-abiding, peaceful and pray for whoever emerged as the winner for the benefits of people across the country.
