The emir of Hadejia, Alhaji Adamu Abubakar Maje has called on the youth across the state to work more pro- actively and purposefully towards making the communities much safer and secure.
The emir who is also the Chairman Jigawa state Council of Chiefs dropped the hints while fielding questions to pressmen in his palace in Hadejia, stressed the need for the youth to be resilient and persevering.
Alhaji Adamu Abubakar explained the need for youth to form Community Based Associations to support governments at all levels in tackling the menace of floods and other environmental challenges will open a new corridor for improved health, sanitation and social order.
The first class emir stated further that poor sanitation and poor refuse disposals tend to cause havoc to health in terms of spread of diseases caused by poor sanitation such as malaria, typhoid and cholera. He thus charged all hands to be on deck to ensure clean drainages for a safer and healthier livelihood.
Emir of Hadejia, who is the Grand Patron of Hadejia Central Primary School, Class 67/73 further charged the youth to always develop and embrace programmes and agenda that will ensure propelling their communities to greater heights, as well as help in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) more effectively.
He noted that the youth, have to cast away
indolence and vaulting ambitions, and resort more to respect for elders and innovative ideals to achieve progress and sustainable growth.
