The appointment of former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar as co-chair of the Federal Government panel to reconstitute Boards of parastatals, is a well deserved in view of his track records in managing the affairs of public and private matters.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume deserves commendation for the foresight to recommend Badaru Abubakar as co chair of this very important panel set up by the Presidency.
Former Governor Badaru as an Economist and Auditor by Profession worked briefly in the Audit Department in the old Kano State where he retired voluntarily and
venture into private Business.
While in Business Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar rose to the position of President Nigeria Chamber of Commerce Industries Mines and Agriculture.
His Political career started when he came close to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to join him in his Action Congress of Nigeria Party ACN which he later became the Gubernatorial flag bearer of the Party in Jigawa State in the 2011 General Election.
Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar served two terms as Executive Governor of Jigawa State from 2015 to 2023 on the platform of APC when Bola Tinubu was National APC Leader.
He was Northern Nigerian Coordinator of Bola Tinubu Presidential campaign who volunterily withdrew from his Presidential ambition for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu during the APC Presidential Primaries in Abuja.
Really the appointment of the former Jigawa State Chief Executive as co-chair of the Panel to actualise President Tinubu’s renewed hope Agenda was a right step in the right direction.
I congratulate my Leader and Mentor for this well deserved appointment, and prayed to Almighty ALLAH in His infinite Mercies to guide him and all members of the Panel to accomplish the task ahead that will usher in the renewed hope project of President Bola Tinubu’s Federal Government Administration Ameen.
