Kano State Governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf has sacked the commissioner for Land and Physical Planning, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya and Special Adviser on Youth and Sport, Yusuf Imam, popularly called Ogan Boye over death threat issued to governorship tribunal judges by the duo.
In a viral video on Thursday after a special prayer by the NNPP supporters, Adamu Aliyu Kibiya issued death threat against the tribunal judges if as a result of bribe-taking, they gave judgement not favourable to them.
Addressing journalists, on Friday night, the state commissioner for Information, Baba Halilu Dantiye announced the sacking of the two political officeholders over unguarded statement.
However, in a swift reaction, the Nigerian Bar Association urged the state governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf to sanction the commissioner so as to distance the state from the statement.
