One of the imperatives of democracy is the need for those elected into political position of authority to study the problems bedevilling the electorate with the view to become more proactive and innovative towards implementing better policies and programme that would transform the socio-economic well-being of the electorates.
These are among the compelling reasons that prompted the Vice President, Kashim Shettima on assumption into office began to pursue vigorously this laudable objectives after his meritorious service as Executive Governor of Borno State for the past Eight years and also Senator representing Borno Central for the period of four years which are indeed among his remarkable political accomplishments.
Since then, the tenure of Kashim Shettima as Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s continue to be characterise by wisdom, integrity, love and compassion to his people because he dedicated himself to embark on addressing the pressing issues facing the country especially the problem of lack of quality education, insecurity, poverty among others in the Northern part of this Country.
For instance, recently in his love to steer the North and other parts of the country to prosperity, the Vice President Kashim Shettima has engaged the meeting with members of Nigerian Governor forum and Bill Gates & Malindas Foundation and Aliko Dangote at a meeting in a State House to finetune various avenues in providing palliatives to less privilege individuals in the Nigerian Society to reduce poverty.
Similarly, as an excellent representative to Nigeria at UN summit on financing food system held in Rome Italy, Senator Kashim Shettima says “We all determine to invest in Africa Fundamentally because the entrepreneur capitalism is embedded in the very site of an average Nigerians but we have 136 million Nigerian suffering from the multi-dimensional poverty” and this noted that prompted the Federal Government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be more determined to reposition the River Basin development authority to enhance food production and livelihood support to Nigerians.
Similarly, the Vice President Kashim Shettima in his pursuit to make Nomadic Education accessible to Fulani has embarked on rigorous campaign to sensitize the Fulani children to go back to school in order to possess positive mind transformation and civilisation to enjoy a happy live. In this case, the Vice President had been offering various packages of incentives as well as efforts to construct more Nomadic Schools in the North which would come out with correctional strategic plan that will complement the efforts of the government and all other security agencies in the fight against banditry, insurgency and kidnapping bedevilling this country as well as prevent the Fulani children from picking interest or being enrolled to join this heroes acts.
The Vice as a Muslim right from the onset, and also as son and grandson of Ulamas has no intention to victimised any religion and also knows the values of Islam because Borno State where he hailed from accept the religion of Islam over 4,400 years ago.
It is with this noble intention and objectives that Vice President Kashim Shettima will stimulate growth in the Northern part of the Country and Nigeria at large through facial fulfilment of his campaign promises in the areas of educational advancement, socio and economic diversification as well as human capital development. In this regard we therefore commend your passion for advancing the lives of your people and wishes more success in all your political undertakings and vision that will fast-track the socio-economic well-being of Nigerians. We also wish you Allah’s guidance to enable you consolidate ahead in strengthening the unity and cooperate existence of Nigeria for collective democratic dividends and legacies.
