The Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso over the weekend said they were lucky to have made a right choice by supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf to become the Governor and that who has proved that he is not a betrayer.
Kwankwaso who spoke based on his past experience stated this during the line up activities to mark his 67th birthday.
The two term governor of Kano State said in the past some persons whom he assisted to high places suddenly turned their back against him, commended the Governor and others for continuing with the legacies put in place by his administration.
Said he: “I thank the Governor, because for you to come together to vote for someone to clinch the seat and for that person to remember you and the role you played in his victory, it takes only someone who is responsible.
“We are in a period that God has brought us in, that the people know nothing than betrayal. Whoever you assisted, don’t ever think if he clinches power or reach high places he will be totally loyal to you the way he does before he became whatever he becomes.
“So whenever you are embarking on political journey, if you want to go far, do your things alone because if you think of carrying everybody along they can become an obstacle, hijack the whole idea and sideline you.
“Kwankwasiyya movement is a moment, that we designed that we alone can run the affairs. That’s why when there is disappointment, whoever disappoints suffers the consequences as we remain firm and move on.
“This time around, we are lucky that we have people who accept to continue with our legacies for the benefit of the public,” Kwankwaso said.
In his address, Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf described Kwankwaso as an exemplary leader, role model and a mentor whom they followed his foot steps while commending him for his numerous interventions.
