The Jigawa state house assembly has directed Local Government Service Commission to immediately suspend Council Scribe, Treasurer and Director Admin and General Services (DAGS) of Buji local government area of the state.
Hotpen reports that, the decision of the Honorable was adopted on Wednesday during it’s sitting barely one day after Governor Umar Namadi presented the 2024 appropriation bill to the house for deliberation.
The council scribe of Buji local government, Gadaffi Abba Umar Kukuma, the Treasurer, Gambo Umar and Director Admin and General Services (DAGS), Alhaji Mustapha Sadauki were suspended for alleged misappropriation with the council fund using their personal accounts in transaction instead of using local local government account.
Members representing Malam Madori constituency, Hon Usman Abdullahi Tura and Member representing Guri Hon Hamza Guri seconded the motion moved by Hon Aminu Tsubut.
Hotpen reports that, Buji local government has been in leadership tussle for quite sometimes between the council chairman and his secretary pointing finger at each another, several efforts have been made by stakeholders of APC in the LG to settle the crises but to no avail.
However the house constituted committee under the chairmanship of the Majority Leader of the house, Hon. Lawan Muhammad Dansure to investigate the matter and report back to the house within 4 weeks for further action.
