Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has allocated whooping sum of over N8bn for water infrastructure development in the state.
This was revealed by Managing Director, state water board, Engineer Tukur Hassan Tingilin during a briefing at the Government House in Katsina, said the gesture was in line with the significant stride towards ensuring access to clean water to the teeming populace of the state.
Engr. Tingilin highlighted some
key achievements from June to the present under Governor Radda’s administration at the State Water Board include:
- Establishment of two reservoirs at Tayoyi Quarters with a total capacity of nine thousand liters.
2. Renovation of a one-million-liter overhead tank at Tayoyi.
3. Expansion of pipe networks at Batagarawa, Fatima Shema, Sardauna Housing Estate, and other strategic locations.
These initiatives underscore Governor Radda’s commitment to enhancing water accessibility and quality across the state. The significant investment aims to address the water needs of various communities and contribute to improved public health.
