In the wake of Governor Dauda Lawal’s triumphant victory against former Governor Matawalle at the Supreme Court, I have observed since yesterday a remarkable incident where some contractors rushed back to site in Government House Gusau to do the needful thus ‘resurrecting’ from hybernation even though they had been paid high level percentage for the job running into billions.
Therefore, the victory of Governor Dauda Lawal not only signifies a legal triumph but also underscores Governor Dauda Lawal’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the masses. His fearless approach to politics, marked by resilience and dedication, has consistently led to success in his political journey such that the people will always see value in their money no matter whose ox is goard!
Quoting a local proverb, “A fearless warrior never hesitates to return to the battlefield,” Governor Dauda Lawal’s courage in the face of political challenges has become a hallmark of his leadership. The Supreme Court victory served as a resounding confirmation of his unyielding spirit which as visible as it is, now translates into developing the state.
In the words of an ancient saying, “Success is not for the timid; it crowns those who persist.” Governor Dauda Lawal’s persistence in championing the cause of the people has not only secured legal triumphs but has now set in motion a wave of progress with contractors resuming work knowing fully well that it is no longer business as usual.
His love for the masses is evident in his deeds, and a local adage captures this sentiment beautifully: “The river does not forget its source.” Governor Dauda Lawal, rooted in the aspirations of the people, understands that progress begins with the fulfillment of promises made during campaigns.
The returning contractors symbolize more than just a resumption of construction; they signify the revitalization of hope, a promise fulfilled, and the dawn of a new era in Zamfara. As the saying goes, “A good leader takes his people where they want to go. A great leader takes his people where they don’t necessarily want to go but ought to be.”
Governor Dauda Lawal’s leadership style aligns with the latter. His fearlessness and dedication to the masses guide him to take bold steps for the betterment of Zamfara, even when the path may seem challenging.
His triumph at the Supreme Court is just another chapter in a narrative driven by resilience, commitment, and an unwavering focus on the well-being of the people.
As the journey continues, guided by fearless leadership, Zamfara can anticipate a future that thrives on progress, development, and the collective prosperity of its people.
So help us God!
