The Former Governor of Zamfara state and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar Shattiman Zamfara has described as monumental loss the death of a Gusau based Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Imam Sirajo Rabi’a to the entire Muslim Ummah because of his vast knowledge, experience and commitment in Da’awah of Islamic religion.

Chairman, Publicity Committee stated this in a statement made available to Hotpen Thursday.
According to him, late Sheikh Imam Sirajo Rabi’a was a respected Sunni Scholar who used all what he had at his disposal in co-ordinating Islamic activities for peace, progress and stability of his immediate community, Zamfara State, Nigeria and entire Muslim Ummah the World Over.
He stated that as active member of Zamfara State Ulama Consultative Council, UCC the late Scholar had made positive contribution towards galvanising all shades of opinion of different Islamic Scholars which Paved way for smooth running of his administration when he held sway as Executive Governor of Zamfara State between 2011 and 2019.
Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar affirmed that it’s not only the immediate family of the deceased that will feel his absence but all those who associated with him during his earthly sojourn, especially those in the service of Islam Worldwide.
Meanwhile, Senator Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar has called on Politicians to emulate the life of Late Alhaji Isiyaka Zurmi who passed away last week.
He made the call through a delegation led by leader of A A YARI POLITICAL ORGANIZATION, Hon. Lawal M Liman (Gabdon Kaura) which condoled the deceased family in his Gusau Residence on his behalf.
Sen. Yari further described the deceased as an honest, diligent and patient administrator and politician who persevered and remained focus despite not achieving his personal and political goals, Senator Abdulaziz Yari urged Politicians to emulate these sterling qualities in order to sanitise the democratic polity.
He said Late Alhaji Isiyaka Zurmi had exhibited a strong belief in the continuation of a system that guarantees the future of all instead of pursuing a personal, political agenda.
Until his death, Alhaji Isiyaka Zurmi, an Accountant by Profession was a Local Government Sole Administrator and Commissioner in different Ministries in Zamfara State before his retirement and subsequent active Political life.
While extending his condolence to the family, Government and People of Zamfara State, JIBWIS National Headquarters and Entire Muslim Ummah as well as the family of late Alhaji Isiyaka Zurmi, he prayed Allah SWT to grant them Janatil Firdausi, amin.
On the delegation were, former APC state Secretary Hon. Sani Musa Mafara, former Gusau local government chairman Hon. Engr. Babangida Abdullahi (Fagacin Gusau) former APC treasurer Alhaji Babangida Abubakar (Madawakin Anka) and Alhaji Ibrahim Ma’aji.
