The Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board, ZSUBEB, Chairman Professor Nasir Garba Anka, has commended Maradun Local Government Council Sole Administrator, Hon. Yahaya Giwa Maradun for recruiting 50 indigenous teachers to teach in primary schools in the area.
Prof. Nasir Garba Anka made commendation in his remarks while witnessing presentation of appointment letters to the appointed teachers by the Sole Administrator.
According to the Executive Chairman the gesture was in line present administration’s efforts towards boosting the education sector in the respective 14 local government areas of the state.
He called on other local government Sole Administrators in the state to emulate Hon. Yahaya Giwa initiative.
Prof. Anka assured the recruited teachers of his necessary support and assistance to enable them deliver on their new responsibilities.
Makama of Sokoto South, also charged them to work hard and contribute their quoter for the development of education in Maradun and Zamfara State in general.
Early in his address, the Sole Administrator of Maradun Local Government Council, Hon. Yahaya Giwa Maradun, said the effort was part of his contribution in boosting che state education sector, especially being him a teacher.
“I am today to complement the efforts of this administration of Governor Dauda Lawali for the state of Emergency on Education in Zamfara State, Maradun Local Government inclusive”, he explained.
He further said that his administration will continue to provide avenues that will help and promote education in Maradun Local Government and Zamfara State at large.
He added that,all the 50 new teachers will enjoy N20,000 monthly renumeration from his council, and urged the Executive Chairman ZSUBEB to give all necessary support to them to enable them discharge ther duties effectively.
The Executive Chairman ZSUBEB Professor Nasir Garba Anka (Makama of Sokoto South), was accompanied to witness the occasion by the board’s Perminant Member, Hon. Rufa’i Muhammad Jibiril, Director School Services, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, Director Special Program, Nasiru Muhammad Anka and Staff Officer of the board .
