Former Jigawa state governor, Dr. Sule Lamido and Mal. Aminu Ibrahim Ringim were among dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer of former member Kano state House of Assembly under the defunct People Redemption Party (PRP) in 1979, Alhaji Muhammad Daguro died at the age of 87.
Daguro died at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospitals on Sunday midnight after a protracted illness,
Confirming the death, the former Director Press to former Jigawa state government, Kyari Jitau Madamuwa, said, late Daguro survive by three wives, 10 children and 36 grand children.
He said untill his death Muhammadu Daguro was a deputy Chairman, PDP, Elders forum Jigawa state, and also served as Hadejia local government chairman in 1976.
“Muhammad Daguro, a season and grassroot politician held from Matara village of Kirikasamma local government of present Jigawa state, hold different political positions include: a Councillor Hadejia LGC 1976, Member Kano State House of Assembly 1979 under PRP, Leader National Centre Party of Nigeria. Political Adviser to former Jigawa state governor, Deputy Chairman, PDP elders Committee”.
Among the children of late Daguro includes, Alhaji Abba Muhammed Daguro, two time chairman, Kirikasamma Local Government Area and has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Other dignitaries in attendance include former senator Abdulaziz Usman Turabu, PDP state chairman, Ali Idris Diginsa, District head of Turabu, former PDP council’s chairmen, state and national assembly members, party stalwarts, NNPP, APC and PDP chieftains among others.
